Cookie Policy

Last updated: January 27, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how FuelAtlas, Inc. ("FuelAtlas," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit or use our fleet fuel optimization platform ("Service"). This policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to the site operators.

Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third parties whose services are embedded in the page ("third-party cookies"). Cookies can remain on your device for different periods of time. "Session cookies" exist only while your browser is open and are deleted automatically once you close the browser. "Persistent cookies" survive after your browser is closed and can be used to recognize your device when you reopen your browser and revisit the site.

In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as web beacons (also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs), local storage, and browser fingerprinting to collect information and improve your experience.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Authentication & Security: To verify your identity when you log in, maintain your session, and protect against unauthorized access to your account.
  • Preferences & Settings: To remember your settings, language preferences, dashboard configurations, and other customizations.
  • Analytics & Performance: To understand how visitors use the Service, which pages are most popular, how users navigate between pages, and to identify and fix errors or performance issues.
  • Functionality: To enable enhanced features such as live vehicle tracking map preferences, saved fuel finder filters, and report configurations.
  • Advertising & Marketing: To deliver relevant advertisements and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns across different channels.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

The following table describes the categories of cookies used on the FuelAtlas platform:

4. Managing Cookies

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies (other than essential cookies, which are necessary for the Service to function). You can manage your cookie preferences in several ways:

4.1 Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit the Service, a cookie consent banner will be displayed allowing you to accept all cookies or manage your preferences. You can change your cookie settings at any time by visiting the Cookie Preferences section in your account settings.

4.2 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically set your browser to block or delete cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being set. Please note that if you disable or block certain cookies, some features of the Service may not function properly. Below are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

4.3 Opt-Out of Analytics

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For Mixpanel, you can opt out through our cookie preference center or by contacting us directly.

4.4 Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites you visit indicating that you do not wish to be tracked. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. We currently do not respond to DNT signals, but we will update this policy if a standard is established.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on the Service are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control these third-party cookies. The third parties that set cookies through the Service include:

  • Google Analytics (Google LLC): Web analytics service that tracks and reports website traffic. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Mixpanel: Product analytics tool that helps us understand user behavior and engagement. For more information, see Mixpanel's Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe, Inc.: Payment processor that uses cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing functionality. For more information, see Stripe's Privacy Policy.

  • LinkedIn: Professional networking platform that may set cookies for advertising purposes.
  • Intercom: Customer messaging platform used for live chat support. For more information, see Intercom's Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party providers to understand their data practices and your options for opting out.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in technology, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by other means.

We encourage you to periodically review this Cookie Policy to stay informed about how we use cookies and related technologies. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
